City of Discord a new urban role-play environment based around casual, turn-based role-play is under construction and said to be opening soon. Discord which was originally a combat region and home to the “Eclipse military,” has changed focus to become a modern-day role-play environment. The environment has since undergone significant changes in their transition including a complete redesign and region name change.
Discords owner, Faye Blackheart previously worked alongside the City of Concord management team. She was primarily responsible for the rentals and the Department of Justice role-play faction. In addition to Faye Blackheart, Jefferson Twig the founder and former owner of the City of Concord is taking lead on the overall build of the environment.
The environment, which remains largely under construction will appears to feature a primarily custom all-mesh build. During the construction phase however, some prefabricated buildings can be found around the environment still. The region is mildly reminiscent of the Port Malice build as seen in early March before the project ended in mid-March.

The region is currently open to the public while building takes place. No opening date has been officially announced.

I just wanted to add a comment on here before the word got out:
Unfortunately City of Discord is in the process of being sold. The sim was originally purchase to host an up and coming SL military, however three months into the project, the builder went MIA, putting an abrupt halt on the project. Right around the time I was preparing to sell the region and get back to my sick hobby of inbreeding cats on SL (…because I can…), Jefferson Twig offered to take over building the sim in full mesh, and change the direction from combat to role-play. I told him I had a limited window for waiting on yet another construction phase (and understandably quite exhausted from what seemed like unsuccessfully herding cats for months) but we both decided to give it a shot and see how construction went.
I was truly shocked at Twig’s secret talent with mesh….he had never held himself out as a builder in City of Concord, let alone a mesh builder. Twig’s original mesh builds are wonderful, and a lot of people showed interest in the sim. However, despite our best efforts, we both realized after about a month and a half into construction that it would take a lot longer to mesh an entire region from scratch than we were hoping. Ah the dawning comprehension that a full mesh sim is something that you should go into ready to rezz after buying a region, rather than buying the region and start building the mesh, especially after an already failed project precedes you. In the interest of saving what could be 6 months of tier while under construction and both our sanities, we are closing the project down so we can work on our own schedule and maintain some semblance of a real life.
I can’t wait for the day we see a full mesh role-play sim, but today is not that day, and the City of Discord as owned by me, will not be that sim. I do know that we are just seeing the beginning of Twiggy’s mesh creations.. and I hope everyone keeps an eye on him to see what he does next!
Thank you everyone for your interest, I hope to role-play with you soon on the next great sim!
